Any order placed at our house entails unreserved acceptance of our general conditions. These replace any different or contrary clause appearing on the documents and correspondence of our customers.
Our goods travel at the risk of the recipient who will check their condition upon delivery. In the event of damage, loss or theft, it is up to our client to take the initiative in making a complaint to the carrier, and this, within the deadlines and in the forms set out for the latter. No claim is accepted against us, if it is not made within eight days of delivery.
The transfer of ownership of the goods sold is subject to full payment of the price. The delivery of a commercial paper will not entail novation, the original receivable will subsist with all its guarantees and in particular the retention of title clause, until said commercial paper has actually been paid. It is the same for all deferrals of payments. The goods delivered being under the responsibility of the customer, it is up to him to have taken out insurance "on behalf of whom it will belong" against all the risks that the goods can run.
